Here is a simple way to make your own yoga mat cleaner to help prevent odor and germs & refresh after practice.

Here is what you will need

• Glass Spray Bottle or Glass Mist Bottle
• Whether you are traveling with it or not, or opt to make larger batches will determine which size and style glass spray bottle you will need.
• Water
• Distilled or Tap
• Witch Hazel - Any kind will do, however organic witch hazel is available online

Essential Oils

Because the goal is to include antibacterial properties, you will want to opt one or more of the following; eucalyptus, tea tree, lavender, lemongrass, or peppermint. Test scents alone and together to find the best mix.

The Mix

Fill your glass spray bottle 75% full of water 20% witch hazel and 1-3 drops of essential oil affix your spray nozzle and gentle shake in a circular motion.

Cleaning your Mat

Spray Yoga Cleaning Solution covering your entire mat then wipe down with a damp cloth. Repeat on other side and hang to dry for 10 minutes or wipe again with a dry cloth.
